The only Catholic church in Dobbs Ferry will soon have a new pastor.
Rev. Christopher Monturo, who has led Sacred Heart-Our Lady of Pompeii Parish since July 1, 2019, is leaving the end of August after being appointed pastor of Resurrection Parish in Rye, where he will succeed retiring Pastor Donald Dwyer.
Replacing Monturo in Dobbs Ferry on Sept. 1 will be Father Richard Smith, who is currently Director of Formation of Permanent Deacons for the Archdiocese of New York. He previously served as pastor of St. Joachim-St. John the Evangelist Church in Beacon…
