One killed in Eagle Way single-vehicle crash

A person was found deceased following response to an automated iPhone Crash Detection Alert early Sunday morning in Hopkinsville.

According to Hopkinsville Fire and EMS, crews were dispatched to the area of the Eagle Way Bypass and Eagle Cove Drive just before 1 a.m. after 911 received an automated crash detection alert from an iPhone. Upon arrival, firefighters reported finding debris on the roadway, but no vehicle was immediately present.

A search began around the area, and a vehicle was found off the roadway and down an embankment, near the river. It appears that the vehicle flipped multiple times and the driver—the lone occupant—was ejected in the process…
