Indy DPW executes major flood cleanup effort

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Department of Public Works crews spent Saturday in the Ravenwood and River Park neighborhoods, as well as the town of Rocky Ripple, working on the massive cleanup needed following historic flooding.

“It’s something where we can give back to the community,” Christopher Harris, a member of the Indy DPW Solid Waste team said. “We know that they had a huge disaster over here, so we decided to make it happen and help them out.”

DPW mobilized at least 50 crew members, who scoured residential streets, removing piles of debris from ruined homes…
