Born on August 23, 1970, in Madras, Oregon, River was the eldest of five siblings: Rain (born 1972), Joaquin (1974), Liberty (1976), and Summer (1978). Despite his promising career, his life was tragically cut short at age 23. On October 31, 1993, he passed away at The Viper Room in West Hollywood, California, due to a fatal combination of cocaine and opiates while filming Dark Blood.
