High Point University students establish bonds building bikes for local kids

HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — High Point University freshmen participated in a team-building exercise as they put together 150 bicycles and surprised local elementary school children with the gifts at the James H. and Jesse E. Millis Athletic and Convocation Center on HPU’s campus on Sunday.

Local children arrived on campus for ice cream around 3:30 p.m., followed by the surprise presentation.

Kids from the Boys and Girls Club of the Central Piedmont, Community Collaboration for Children, aka C3, and the Family Justice Center of High Point all received bicycles.
