Cooler start to the week on deck for Monday

(WGHP) — The humidity fell across the Piedmont Triad on Sunday thanks to drier air arriving behind a cold front. A pleasant evening is in store for us with temperatures falling into the 70s by 8 p.m. Skies will be mostly clear overnight and with light wind and drier air, we’ll be able to see a cooler start to the day Monday.

The kiddos heading to the bus stop on Monday morning may feel a little chill in the air for a nice little preview of fall weather. Generally, morning lows will be in the low 60s, but a few could drop to the upper 50s to start the day. Skies remain mostly sunny, and afternoon highs reach the mid 80s. The break from the tropical-like humidity continues, making for a pleasant evening.

Mostly sunny skies again Tuesday with morning lows in the upper 50s and low 60s. Afternoon highs reach the mid 80s again. Humidity remains low for much of the day, but we’ll eventually see a shift in the wind from northeast to southeast, which will gradually bring moisture back by late Tuesday.

Partly cloudy skies on Wednesday with low rain chances by the afternoon. Temperatures will be in the mid-60s in the morning with highs reaching the mid to upper 80s. “Air you can wear” will also be back as southeast winds increase the amount of moisture in the air…
