SOUTHEASTERN, NC (WWAY) — A hot topic is roaming in the air, or maybe underground, as next month Brunswick County commissioners are scheduled to review and vote on a new ordinance that would establish clear legal stands for respectful treatment of burial sites, this comes after neighboring Pender County is dealing with cemetery desecration by a developer.
Frustration and anger are growing after gravestones were damaged at a cemetery off Horse Branch Road and Malpass Corner Road as land was cleared for a new housing development.
