Record-breaking Head for the Cure run raises funds in Overland Park

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Supporters gathered at Corporate Woods in Overland Park for another record-breaking Head for the Cure run Sunday, raising funds for research and support for those fighting brain tumors.

Head for the Cure held its first run 24 years ago with about 300 participants. It has since expanded to dozens of cities across the United States and raised millions of dollars.

Every year, hundreds gather in Overland Park to take part in the run. Among the participants are individuals actively battling the disease, as well as family and friends honoring their loved ones…
