ROUND LAKE, N.Y. (NEWS10)– On Sunday, multiple fire crews were dispatched to a fully-involved structure fire on West Drive in Round Lake. According to the Round Lake Fire Department, when crews attempted to enter the structure, the building collapsed.

Crews said when firefighters arrived, they were met with a heavy fire and neighbors who alerted them that there could be people inside. When firefighters attempted to go inside, they were blocked by “severe hoarding conditions.”
Shortly after, the first and second floors of the home collapsed. Luckily, all firefighters were accounted for with no injuries and no one was found inside the home.
Firefighters later discovered the resident was out of town.
According to the fire department, the fire was quickly put out and an excavator was called in to assist pulling apart debris. The fire department was assisted by the Saratoga Springs Fire Department, Malta Ridge Volunteer Fire, Jonesville Volunteer Fire, Ballston Lake Fire, Ballston Spa Fire, Mechanicville Fire, Arvin Hart Fire and Malta-Stillwater EMS…
