NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Grammy nominated musician Masego joined Newport News Vice Mayor Curtis D. Bethany for a back-to-school event at Woodside High School Sunday aimed at encouraging students and providing resources ahead of the upcoming school year.
Bethany and Masego are both alumni of Woodside High School and Old Dominion University.
Vice Mayor Bethany said it’s important for students to connect with successful individuals ” who are living examples of what they (students) can achieve.
