Carrollton mom hopes for better school year after son’s bus experience

Jeanine Scherrer wants to make sure school bus drivers and assistants are properly trained to work with students with disabilities after she says her nonverbal son was mistreated on a school bus last school year.

Scherrer is the mother of Trevor, a Smithfield High School student with special needs who rides the bus home every day.
