RED BANK, Tenn. — Red Bank’s stormwater crews will soon have a new way to look for problems underground without digging up streets.
The city’s Public Works Stormwater Division is putting a new pipe inspection camera into service, a move officials say will give crews a safer and more efficient way to inspect underground stormwater infrastructure.
The stormwater team met this past Friday with City Manager Martin Granum, Mayor Stephanie Dalton and Public Works Director Greg Tate to demonstrate what the device can do.
The city says the camera will allow the team to inspect underground stormwater assets quickly and safely, helping ensure the stormwater system is ready to weather future storms.
The technology is expected to help crews identify blockages, structural concerns and other issues without extensive excavation, improving maintenance efforts and protecting critical infrastructure across the community…
