Ajax Turner Senior Center reopens, announces return of Adult Day Center this week

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Ajax Turner Senior Center reopened Monday at 953 Clark St., and the same day, the nonprofit announced the return of their Adult Day Center program.

“We are so excited to share that our ADC program has officially been approved to reopen tomorrow,” said an organization Facebook post. “We are thrilled to welcome our ADC participants and families back through our doors. After everything it has taken to get here, we are so grateful to be moving forward and getting back to serving our ADC family.”

The Adult Day Center program will begin operating again on Tuesday, Aug. 25, after operations were shut down at the end of May.

The Adult Day Center started in 2003 and serves those 50 and over who can no longer remain at home alone. “We provide supervised care in a home-like setting with planned daily activities that are structured and mentally stimulating,” said the Ajax Turner Senior Center’s website…
