Woman arrested in St. Lucie County accused of paying with counterfeit $50 bills

ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A woman was arrested for using counterfeit currency to pay for her meal in St. Lucie County, according to the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office.

SLCSO says that on August 22, deputies responded to a reported theft involving a food delivery in which the customer used two counterfeit $50 bills as payment for the $83.90 order.

On Monday, deputies learned that the individual who used the counterfeit money was staying at a residence on Miramar Avenue in Fort Pierce. Upon arrival, they quickly identified Adrianna Marie Sheppard, 19, as the person who provided the fake money…
