CLAYTON, N.C. – A group of Clayton-area volunteers spent a week in Reynosa, Mexico, helping construct a home and distributing food to families as part of an annual mission trip.
Clayton Friends of Faith Ministry traveled to Reynosa July 11-18, continuing its longtime partnership with Faith Ministry.
During the trip, volunteers worked with the organization to help construct a new home for a family in need. The team assisted with the project from early construction through final work on the house.
Volunteers also participated in food distribution and other outreach efforts during the week.
“We are blessed every year to have the opportunity to serve alongside Faith Ministry,” said Mike Carter, a member of Clayton Friends of Faith Ministry. “What may seem like a simple week of construction and outreach becomes something much bigger. We get to build relationships, serve families, and see firsthand how God is working through the people of Faith Ministry and the volunteers who come to help.”…
