Redding bus rides to Sacramento for $23 begin. See schedule, tickets

A new bus route that will provide North State residents with service to Sacramento International Airport and other valley communities launched Monday.

The Aug. 24 ribbon-cutting ceremony in downtown Redding featured community leaders and elected officials from Shasta County and other Sacramento Valley communities, including Yuba County who spoke with the parked Gold Runner bus as a backdrop.

Gold Runner Route 5 is a twice daily bus service that will leave Redding at 9 a.m. and 1:40 p.m. and arrive in Sacramento at noon and 4:40 p.m., respectively. Returning to Redding, the bus will leave the Sacramento airport at 1:35 p.m. and 8:35 p.m. and arrive in Redding at 4:40 p.m. and 11:40 p.m., respectively…
