A large search was set to resume Monday morning for a 24-year-old Roseville man who disappeared after apparently hiking into a Northern California river canyon.
Ian Roberts was last seen at 9:45 a.m. Friday, according to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators believe Roberts left his vehicle at the skate park at Overlook Park before hiking into the American River Canyon. The park sits on the edge of Auburn, overlooking the canyon, and provides direct access to trails descending into it, less than a mile from Interstate 80.
Roberts failed to return home Friday night, and Roseville police received a missing person report early Saturday. With help from his family, authorities tracked his vehicle to the park…
