SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY)- The new Nansemond Parkway Bridge over Beamon’s Mill Pond is now open to traffic, marking the completion of the bridge replacement project.
The new, wider bridge replaces the aging structure with a modern crossing designed to improve safety and travel along this important corridor. The project also includes a new sidewalk to improve pedestrian accessibility.
The City of Suffolk Public Works Department thanks residents, businesses, schools, and commuters for their patience and cooperation throughout construction.
