A 33-year-old man climbed through a window of a home on the 1100 block of Arcade Street in Saint Paul and punched two women with closed fists as they slept in the same bed, according to a criminal complaint. Police responded to the residence at about 8:40 a.m. on August 2, 2026, after the attack, and the suspect fled before officers arrived.
Travon Thomas Ferrara now faces two counts of first-degree burglary, according to MN Crime, which reports the women had returned home from an evening out before going to sleep. The complaint alleges Ferrara entered the occupied dwelling without consent and assaulted the people inside — the exact conduct that elevates a break-in to the most serious burglary charge under Minnesota law.
One woman suffered swelling and bruising to her left hand along with a bump and swelling on the back of her head, the outlet’s report states. The other woman was left with a cut to her inner lip. Ferrara declined to be interviewed, per the same account.
