The City of Asheville plans to invest more than $2 million in community facilities. The investment is part of an effort to strengthen neighborhood resilience and disaster-response capacity.
The planned investment will use federal Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery funds. City officials said the spending follows recommendations from the Resilience Hub Mapping Project, which examined how Asheville could build a stronger local support network.
