Historic downtown Boston office building lands nearly $40M to convert into 110 all-electric apartments

After securing $39.6 million in construction financing, 31 Milk St. is slated to be converted into 110 apartments with all-electric building systems, Banker & Tradesman reported.

Despite the transformation, the nearly century-old office building in downtown Boston will retain much of its historic character.

Miami-based S.USA Life Insurance Co. provided the financing to Newton-based Dinosaur Capital Partners, which is converting the office building into housing.
