HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. (WNCN) — North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement agents raided a Holly Springs convenience store on Wednesday after “numerous” complaints that tobacco products were sold to young children and hemp-labeled products were actually marijuana over the legal limit, the agency said.
A search warrant was executed in Holly Springs at Main Street Mini Mart at 126 N Main St., according to an Alcohol Law Enforcement Division news release on Wednesday.

The complaints about the store, which also included alcohol sales without permits, began in February, ALE said.
During the search, ALE officials said several items were found and seized, including:
- 5.8 pounds of marijuana
- 9.3 ounces of kratom (certain brands contain alcohol)
- novelty lighters that look like guns
- counterfeit soda cans in which drugs are typically hidden
