Baton Rouge, La. (Louisiana First) — Councilman Anthony Kenney Jr. led the “Revitalizing the Block” workshop, which connected residents with information about adjudicated properties, redevelopment resources, permits, grants and other opportunities to bring vacant properties back into use.
Kenney said he has seen growing interest in revitalizing and redeveloping properties across the area, including rehabbing homes and cleaning up blighted properties.
“We have seen a heightened interest in people who want to revitalize and redevelopment, rehabbing homes, student housing, just things to clean up the block and clean up blighted areas and blighted properties,” Kenney said…
