Baton Rouge man charged with 4th DWI offense and speeding

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A driver is accused of speeding on Burbank Drive after consuming Ambien, a medicine used to treat insomnia, and alcohol on Friday, Aug. 21.

Tramon Ferrell, 27, of Baton Rouge, was charged with operating while impaired; fourth offense and maximum speed limit.

Louisiana State Police said troopers were conducting speed enforcement around 2:24 a.m. when they saw a Mercedes going 72 mph in a 55 mph zone.

LSP said that Ferrell’s breath smelled like alcohol, and he was asked to take part in a Standardized Field Sobriety Test…
