A Clarksville man was arrested in Hopkinsville Sunday morning after police say they found stolen air-conditioning equipment in his vehicle and burglary tools near a damaged building.
Hopkinsville Police say officers were called to a suspicious person complaint shortly before 5 a.m. and were told an unknown man had walked from a wooded area and gotten into a black Cadillac SUV. Police say they later spotted the vehicle driving behind a building and across gravel and grassy areas before turning onto Skyline Drive.
Police stopped the SUV and identified the driver as Gregory Townson. Officers say they found a large amount of air-conditioning equipment and parts in the back of the vehicle. Police also learned Townson’s Tennessee driver’s license had been revoked for DUI…
