A 20-year-old man was killed in a shooting early Sunday morning in the Short North, just after bars closed Saturday night.
Columbus Police said the shooting happened around 3 a.m. Aug. 23 along the 1000 block of North High Street in the heart of the Short North Arts District. Crime scene tape was spotted in the area of Goody Boy Diner, Skully’s Music Diner and ICON Jazz Lounge. Columbus Police officers who were already nearby heard the gunfire and rushed to the scene. The shooting came not long after the popular stretch of High Street is typically still busy on a Saturday night with people leaving late-night spots.
Police found 20-year-old Tiegiaion Clement with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital, where he died several hours later.
