Debris from Providence house fire remains nearly three months later, neighbors say

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — Nearly three months after a large fire destroyed a vacant house on Carpenter Street, debris from the building remains at the site, frustrating nearby residents and business owners.

The cause of the fire has been ruled “undetermined”, according to the Providence Fire Department’s investigation.

The fire began at the vacant home at 160 Carpenter Street and spread to two neighboring houses, according to Brian Loranger, who works at an auto body shop next door and was there when it broke out…
