LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect for Castro, Swisher, Briscoe, and Hall counties until 11 PM CDT Tuesday.
This WATCH includes the communities of Dimmitt, Tulia, Silverton, Memphis, and Turkey in the northern KCBD/FOX34 viewing area. Remain weather aware. Watch and listen for warnings which may be issued.
Severe Outlook
This evening’s thunderstorms are not likely to make it as far south as Lubbock, though the chance of that is not zero. The storms in the area this evening may produce damaging wind gusts. The atmospheric setup indicates wind gusts up to around 80 mph are possible. Damaging hail also is possible, though the threat is lower than for the wind.
