Charlotte-Mecklenburg education board votes to release findings of superintendent investigation

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – The Board of Education for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools on Tuesday voted to release a detailed report about the investigation into the district’s superintendent.

At a regularly-scheduled board meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 25, board member Dr. Charlitta Hatch motioned to release the findings of a weekslong investigation into Superintendent Dr. Crystal Hill.

The superintendent was placed on paid temporary leave in June while a third party reviewed matters of administrative and operational oversight, as the district described it. Dr. Hill said then that she didn’t know why she was being investigated, but would participate “fully and openly.”…
