A 5-year-old girl in Garland, Texas, has died after she was accidentally left inside a locked car for about four hours during a heat wave, police said.
Faustina Jean-Paul was found at about 8:20 p.m. Tuesday inside a vehicle outside her family’s home in the Dallas suburb, according to the Garland Police Department. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police said an adult family member picked up Faustina and her older brother from school at around 3:30 p.m. The family returned home between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m., Officer Matthew Pesta told the Daily Mail, but only two people got out of the vehicle…
