Police say a 15-year-old boy was shot Sunday afternoon while sitting near a sidewalk in the 1900 block of West Cermak Road on Chicago’s Lower West Side. Around 3:30 p.m., someone in a nearby car opened fire, striking the teenager before fleeing the area.
The boy was rushed to Stroger Hospital and was listed in good condition, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
Detectives are investigating the shooting, but no suspect description or motive have been issued. According to MentalHealthFacilities.net, Stroger Hospital, formerly known as John H.
