CANYON, TX — West Texas A&M University police are looking for a man accused of pointing or displaying a gun at two people after a reported road-rage dispute in a campus parking lot. The confrontation happened shortly after 9 p.m. Monday in the Zone 16W parking lot, according to university police.
Police said the two people told officers the man threatened them with a firearm after accusing them of cutting him off in traffic. The university has not said whether anyone was hurt.
What Witnesses Reported
According to the victims’ account, the man became confrontational after the traffic dispute and then showed a gun. University police have not released any additional details about what led up to the encounter beyond the claim that the driver believed he had been cut off.
