Carrboro police are investigating after a person was found dead in an apartment in the Weatherhill community off N.C. 54 on Thursday.
Police are asking people to avoid the area, and have not released details about what led to the death or the identity of the victim. The homicide was discovered on Cedarwood Lane after a neighbor called 911, Carrboro Police Chief Chris Atack said.
“This appears to be an isolated incident, and we do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public,” a news release stated. “The investigation is ongoing and active.”…
