An arrest has been made after a heartbroken dog owner offered a $50,000 cash reward for the safe return of his pets, who he claimed were taken in a carjacking.
Darian Chin visited a McDonald’s in the West Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles at around 5 p.m. local time on Monday, Aug. 24, leaving his 9-year-old terrier mix Buddy and his Italian greyhound Bailey, 5, inside his SUV with the air conditioner running, NBC 4 Los Angeles reported.
He told the outlet he was in the fast food outlet for just “a few minutes” when he turned around to see an “about 20-year-old woman in my car, taking off.”
He was able to activate the vehicle’s tracker and track the dogs’ whereabouts on an app, telling NBC 4 Los Angeles he stayed in the area in case the suspect left…
