See it: Flooding starts in NYC amid thunderstorms

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (PIX11) — New Yorkers are reporting floods as the region hunkers down for thunderstorms.

On social media, locals posted videos of flooding in the streets on Staten Island. Many videos show intense flooding on Hylan Boulevard.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for the tri-state area that will be in effect from 12 p.m. through 11 p.m. on Tuesday.
