Texas Veterans Commission awards more than $1.2M to El Paso organizations

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) — The Texas Veterans Commission will present more than $1.2 million in grants to four El Paso organizations for their veteran services.

In May, TVC approved the grants, which go to services that serve veterans, their dependents and spouses, according to a news release. The grants totaled $40.8 million and will go to organizations across Texas.

The Texas Lottery’s games designed for veteran support primarily fund the grants, TVC said. People can also donate when registering their vehicles or getting a hunting or fishing license…
