DENVER (KDVR) — A woman who officials said is an undocumented immigrant in the United States pleaded guilty to assaulting a federal officer, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado announced.
23-year-old Silvia Paola Sanchez-Hurtado of Nicaragua pleaded guilty to one count, which stemmed from March 11, when ICE officers encountered her in Fort Collins.
Man sentenced to 236 years in prison for child sexual assault
According to the plea agreement, officers attempted to arrest her on an immigration violation warrant, but she reportedly resisted and bit one of the officers on the neck while they tried to place handcuffs on her.
