ALBANY, OR — Hot air balloons took to the sky over Albany Thursday morning, offering a preview of the Northwest Art & Air Festival at Timber Linn Park.
The American Ballooning Community, formerly known as the Willamette Aerostat Society, serves as the festival’s balloonmeister. The organization is a hot air balloon club focused on supporting balloon pilots, crews and enthusiasts.
The festival officially runs Aug. 28 through Aug. 30. Balloon inflation and setup begins at 6:15 a.m., with launches scheduled from the south end of Timber Linn Park Friday, Saturday and Sunday, weather permitting…
