INDIANAPOLIS – A woman was seriously hurt in a Friday morning hit-and-run crash on the city’s east side.
According to Indianapolis Metropolitan police, officers were dispatched around 1:15 a.m. Friday to Southeastern Avenue and Sherman Drive to a reported crash involving a pedestrian.
Officers arrived to find a woman who’d been struck by a vehicle. She was taken to an area hospital in serious condition.
IMPD said the driver left the scene. They were provided with a description of the car and found the vehicle about a mile down the street. The driver is considered a person of interest in the case…
