FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Ruoff Mortgage Stadium hosted an evening of Dwenger domination in a pair of wins over rival Bishop Luers in the “Battle of the Bishops” on Thursday.
The doubleheader kicked off the high school portion of the PSM x ONE Soccer Series at the new stadium. Ruoff Mortgage Stadium will host several boys, girls soccer doubleheaders over the next several weeks into late September.
In the girls match, Bishop Dwenger took control from the opening minutes in a 4-0 win over Bishop Luers. Alima Stroud opened the scoring for Bishop Dwenger in the ninth minute, knocking in a header off a corner kick from Adelyn Brueggeman.
