HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — A person has been arrested in connection to a deadly hit-and-run in Hampton Thursday night.
Officers were called to the intersection of East Mercury Boulevard and Fox Hill Road at 11:36 p.m. after receiving multiple calls regarding a crash involving a pedestrian. When officers arrived on scene, they found a man lying in the roadway with life-threatening injuries. He was later pronounced dead by members of the Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene prior to officers arrival.
Just before midnight, the suspect vehicle was involved in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of East Mercury Boulevard and Mallory Street. The driver attempted to flee but was immediately detained by officers who were in the area…
