2nd man dies this year at Johnson County Jail after found unresponsive in his cell

A man has died at Johnson County Jail this week — marking the second jail death this year, according to a social media post from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

Detention officers found 50-year-old Jason Dale Bailey — identified on the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s website — unresponsive in his cell Tuesday, according to the post. He was pronounced dead at 4:08 a.m. that day, according to the medical examiner’s website.

Jails are required to send death custody reports to the Texas Attorney General’s Office within 30 days…
