Ocala man gets 10 years in prison for selling pills in fentanyl overdose death

An Ocala man has been sentenced to more than 10 years in state prison for manslaughter following the fatal fentanyl overdose of a 22-year-old man in 2023.

Eligio Cintron Perez, 27, entered a plea of nolo contendere (no contest) on Friday, August 28, receiving a sentence of 124.35 months in state prison. Perez was granted credit for 616 days already served in custody.
