Most of the 2027 recruiting class is set for the Ohio State Buckeyes. At the moment, they have 19 commits in the class, which leaves them room for a few more players. Of course, Ryan Day might decide to take more players from the Transfer Portal to build out the roster.
One of the players who is locked into the 2027 class is cornerback Jaden Carey. Carey is a three-star cornerback recruit from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He committed to the Buckeyes back in June. In his first high school game of the year, Carey stole the show.

Carey plays for St. Thomas Aquinas High School, and they took on Texas powerhouse DeSoto. In that game, Carey showed off his coverage skills by intercepting a pass and taking it back 37 yards for a touchdown. This is the type of play that Tim Walton loves to see.

This pick-six gave his team a 14-0 lead in the first quarter. In fact, his team was up 38-0 at half. Carey’s ability to lock down one side of the field could see him rise in the final recruiting rankings when they come out later in the Fall. He should at least be a four-star recruit…
