Knoxville Weather: Heat and humidity increase

The heat and humidity will continue to increase as we head into Sunday and next week. Rain chances are looking very minimal.

  • Tonight: Mainly clear but not as cool overnight. Low: 69°.
  • Sunday: Staying steamy with just a few clouds around. High: 91°. (Heat Index: upper 90s).
  • Sunday night: Even milder and humid. Low: 71°.
  • Monday: Heat and humidity continue to increase. High: 92°. (Heat index: around 100°).

Temperatures will cool down slowly Saturday night with higher humidity in place. Any lingering showers across the higher terrain will taper off as lows fall into the upper 60s with mainly clear skies. There could be some patchy fog as we head into Sunday morning.

Sunday looks drier, quieter, and a little warmer. High temperatures will increase into the lower 90s. With the added humidity levels, it will feel more like the upper 90s during the afternoon hours. A stray shower or storm can’t be ruled out over the Smokies.
