Louisiana attorney jailed for calling judge ‘the Grinch’ in court

A Louisiana lawyer spent the night in jail and is facing more time behind bars after allegedly calling a judge “the Grinch” during a legal proceeding.

According to Baton Rouge television station WAFB, Sandra Page was in court July 20 for a case before Judge Colette Greggs. According to court documents obtained by WAFB, Page told the judge she did not know what was going on in the case for which she was called and that she had to attend another case in another courtroom.

During the proceeding, Page handed a funeral program to a member of the court’s staff and reportedly said, “Give this to the Grinch,” referring to Greggs, then left the courtroom, saying she was not coming back…
