Oahu nonprofit Papahana Kuaola celebrates 20 years of aina-based learning

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The public is invited to a free community event marking two decades of environmental stewardship, cultural preservation, and community education on Oahu’s windward side.

Native Hawaiian educational nonprofit Papahana Kuaola is hosting a Hoolaulea 20th anniversary event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, Aug. 30, at its 63-acre site at Waipao in Heeia.

Attendees can enjoy live entertainment, food, local craft vendors, educational booths from community organizations, and various hands-on cultural activities…
