HONOLULU (Island News) – Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) partnered with law enforcement on Oahu for “Saturation Saturday,” a nationwide initiative to fight impaired driving.
The effort aims to save lives by intensifying impaired driving enforcement during one of the year’s busiest travel periods and in conjunction with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign.
Drunk driving claimed 451 lives during the Labor Day long-weekend period in 2024 alone, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Fatality Analysis Reporting System…
