Stolen Vehicle Pursuit Begins in Hopkinsville, Ends in Trenton

A Tennessee woman and her passenger are facing multiple charges after Hopkinsville Police say a stolen vehicle pursuit reached speeds of more than 100 mph before ending in a crash involving two police cruisers on Dixie Beeline Highway in Todd County Saturday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say the pursuit began shortly after 1:00 when Officer Justin Bufford received a Flock camera notification for a stolen Tennessee license plate on a Nissan Rogue near Clinic Drive and Fort Campbell Boulevard.

Police located the vehicle in the Walmart parking lot and attempted a felony traffic stop. According to the citation, the driver, later identified as Samantha Salmon of Madison, Tennessee, fled with two male passengers inside.
