Mississippi Highway Patrol to increase patrols for Labor Day 2026

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – As Labor Day approaches, the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) will conduct its annual holiday enforcement.

According to troopers, families traveling for a final summer vacation or visiting relatives frequently see an increase in traffic around the holiday weekend. MHP urged drivers to prioritize safety, because there will be more people on the roads.
